Hopefully this finds you all well, and all your businesses doing well too. It’s been quite a slow few months again on the legislative front, perhaps thankfully, but there have been plenty of other things going on to let you know about.
In this edition we take a look at the distortions that renewable fuel subsidies are making in both the vegetable oil and animal fats markets, the ‘Food v Fuel’ tug-of-war that’s happening all over Europe and elsewhere. There is an article on the further (slow) progress of the ZEV mandate and – running counter to this – how we are not investing enough in the energy infrastructure needed to make the mandate actually work.
