Spring has sprung, and it seems – so far – we have got away without too harsh a winter, which is great news for our energy bills. Barring a ‘Beast from the East’ occurring in late spring, hopefully we should all be able to breathe a sigh of relief !
In this edition we look at changes to waste exemption rules, which mean that many companies currently holding exemptions may need to get a permit; There is news on successful bidders for government funding from the IETF; There is an article on the progress of the ZEV mandate; and we gaze into the crystal ball to see what the future might be for gas, oil and energy prices.
Also in this edition – lots of member content which is great to see ! Tracey Westbury has written about waste tracking; Jen Kehlenbeck has shared some news on further fund-raising efforts at Oil Salvage; Neil Holland at Veolia has a recommendation for covered Haz Waste Storage and Gary Lofthouse at Utility Oils has a problem with VOC control that he hopes someone in the network can help him with. Karl Jones at OAMPS also starts a series of articles with ‘Reducing your Fleet Insurance Costs’. All great stuff !!
